  1. MEDITATION

– I know what you’re thinking, you feel like you don’t have time for this quiet time because you’re too busy chasing your dreams. I tell you something, you won’t be able to enjoy achieving them if you’re too stressed out along the way. I’m sure you want to be looking good and a successful individual at the same time. You only need at least 10 minutes for meditation. Meditation is the enemy of stress. During your quiet time, don’t let the stress win over your will to be at peace. Studies show that meditation doesn’t only give mental and psychological benefits, it also gives physical benefits. Once you’re at peace, your skin will automatically glow. Meditate at least 10 minutes a day. Deeply breath and listen to your inner voice.

2. KEEPING A JOURNAL

– Because of busyness and stressful situations we encounter everyday, there are a lot of suppressed emotions inside us. Writing on a journal is a good way to unwrap those emotions. This is the perfect time for you to be in your own space, be it your bedroom or a part of your house where you can be alone. You can play a soothing music and just unveil those emotions that you felt throughout the day. You can always go back and reread your journal, and you’ll be surprised with either your progress in life or how matured you’ve become. Keeping a journal can also be a way for you to rant how stressed you are at that moment. Sometimes, laying it down helps to release the stress from your system.

3. EXERCISE

– Some of the benefits of working out and getting some exercise are the following: It improves mental sharpness,  releases positive hormones, controls your weight and it is a priceless anti-depressant. When you are running outdoors or on the treadmill, it is also an effective way to forget about the problems that you are facing. In some studies, if you have a proper workout, chances are that your foul mood can change into a good one. Some people chooses exercise such as boxing or martial arts. That way they don’t only release the stress while they’re hitting the opponent, the pent up emotions are also freed in every punch or kick. If you are too busy, 30 minutes of intensive exercise can make big difference already.

4. EATING HEALTHY

– I’m sorry to burst your bubble if you’re thinking that pizza can release stress from your system. I must admit, I sometimes eat more junk when I feel like I am starting to be stressed. But then I will just end up being more stressed because my face is more oily and I feel more bloated. Eating the right foods on the other hand will not only reduce stress but it will give you a healthier body and skin as well. Foods that are rich and folate and omega 3 fatty acids are some of the foods that you would want to consider to put on your plate to help you manage or release your stress. Leafy greens and Fish like Salmon, herring and mackerel are the ones that are rich in omega 3.

At the end of the day, even if there are thousands of ways to release stress that are laid out on you, if you will not choose to fight stress, and if you let it run your life, then you will still remain in the same place feeling sorry about your self and drowned in stress. Pick at least one from our list, and commit to it.
